Apologetics: Reasonable and Relational

The defense and proclamation of Christianity requires "gentleness and respect" (1 Peter 3:15) and is both reasonable and relational. To offer mounds of evidences and arguments for Christianity while neglecting the relational is generally ineffective. To be relational, but lack reasonable intellectual rigor is similarly fruitless.

Like Christ, we must strive to balance the reasonable and relational. This is easier said than done, as most people tend towards one or the other, but not necessarily both. In my book Conversations with C.S. Lewis I made the conscious decision to offer an apologetic that is reasonable and relational.
