February 9, 1942 saw the publication of the first edition of The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis. Having appeared in a weekly Anglican newspaper prior to its book form, The Screwtape Letters features the diabolical correspondence from a senior devil, Screwtape, to his nephew Wormwood.
Note that my book Inside The Screwtape Letters (Baker Books) is done, but on hold until we hear more about the release date of a Screwtape movie that is supposedly in the works. Until then you are welcome to read my book Conversations with C.S. Lewis. It features a Screwtape-inspired dialogue with a devil named Flubgose.
