Dante's Inferno: The Video Game (really)

Electronic Arts is bringing Dante's Inferno to the video game world: "The game is based on part one of the medieval epic poem, The Divine Comedy, commonly referred to as Dante’s Inferno, by Dante Alighieri ... The poem delivers a striking and allegorical vision of the Christian afterlife and the punishments of hell."

Not having watched the video game trailers, I can't comment on the content or approach. The link to the official site has a warning about content not suitable for children.

I find this news somewhat surreal. Can a video game based on Summa Theologica be far behind?

The only thing more amazing than this not sucking would be if it actually taught something true!

Yeah, maybe some truth will slip through (or it could be a metaphysical mess with nice special effects like "What Dreams May Come"). Note to movie people: bring on The Screwtape Letters.
